Journey to Pedda Upparapalli - Memorable Trip to small Village in Andhra Pradesh

Hello! My name is Sneha Prasad and I am from the wonderful city in India, Bengaluru.
I am interested in travelling, paintings, cooking and pets especially the dogs.

The reason I want to start writing blogs especially the travel ones because life is so busy that planning a small one day outing takes a month's planning and whenever the plans works out, it is a mission accomplished :) , a new place added to the list!!! No matter how busy the life is, try to make time for small best things in life and I want to capture all the small beautiful experiences in writing.

Let me start my first blog writing about the place where I spent most of my childhood summers which is also my mother's native place.

It is a small village in Andra Pradesh, 'Peddaupparapalli' in Chitthor district which is about 200Kms from Bengaluru.(Route - Bengaluru- Chinthamani - Madanapalli - Chowdepalli - Peddauparapalli)

I recently visited this place with my dad, brother and our pet dogs Mickey and Wolfy after a gap of two long years though I have visited this place many times before, this time it was a very special one because even my fiancee accompanied us ;) and it was a planned 3 days trip.

Day 1- December 18th 2015

We started our journey from Bengaluru around 8AM, finally reached the destination at 2PM and it was a very sunny weather out there compared to Bengaluru and I got a chance to drive for the first time on a highway, drove about 100Kms ;)!!

Me with my fiancee Jay:)

After reaching the destination, we immediatly headed to a place called GAVI(Cave), which is a dense forest with a ancient Shiva temple inside it, we reached there about 5PM and the journey was an amazing experience but tiresome, because halfway we travelled in bumpy, muddy road in a Tractor and half way we trekked to the place.

Mickey and Wolfy in the tractor ;)

This place is improved quite a lot in years, there is now a water storage built, where the waters from the mountains is stored and it is in form of a pond where we can also swim.

Our dogs had a time of their life , Mickey experienced water for the first time and she just couldn't resist being overly active exploring the wild and swimming in the waters.

We had a camp fire in the night, cold night, gazing at the stars had a scrumptious dinner cooked on a wood burning stove.

Day 2 - December 19th 2015

Little sunny and cold morning, woke up with the 'sound of pool splash' and thats mickey jumping and swimming in the waters and this time accompanied by Wolfy and we too had a good swim in the water till late morning and yummy breakfast, then we headed to the Shiva Temple inside the cave, climbing about 180 steps.

Then we packed our bags headed back to the village to my ancenstoral home and then a relaxing evening followed by camp fire and snacks and late dinner.

Day 3 - December 20th 2015

A Lazy morning followed by a nice cup of sweeet coffee!!! we headed to a lake called 'Seethamma Charuvu(lake)', which is filled with about 25 feet of water. Lush greenery around the lake.

We then had a heavy south indian breakfast Dosa, Idli and Vada, then a short nap and my fiancee had a nice body massage from a local guy ;) ;)

Then a visit to my mom's grave and left to Bengaluru with lot of new memories :) :) !!!!!

Overall a wonderful, tiring and memorable trip :) :)
